Ensconced somewhere in memories and dreams,  
finding ‘safety’ in the in-between  
of things I've never said.

Sentences I've swallowed whole,  
afraid to bare my broken soul,  
so there are things I've never said.

Paper doesn't interrupt  
or tell you that you're being ‘too much’.

So there are things I've never said.

**But I've written them.**  

  
***Some things are easier to write than say.***

Perhaps you'll find some of your own words hiding in these, too.

**Why I Write**  
*For the reason these words found their way onto the page.*

**Empty Page**  
*For the strange silence that comes before the words arrive.*

**The Faint, Small Smile.**  
*For the stories we sometimes need to tell without ever saying them aloud.*
